All benefits-eligible employee will receive Basic Life insurance coverage of 2 times your base pay, up to $500,000 .In addition, you can purchase Supplemental Life Insurance coverage for yourself, your spouse and your child(ren).
Basic AD&D coverage is 1 times your base pay, up to $500,000. In addition, you can purchase additional AD&D coverage for yourself and your family, from 1 times to 5 times your base pay, up to $4,000,000.
All Baker Hughes employees are eligible to apply for STD for personal medically necessary reasons. STD will pay 100% of base pay for 8 weeks and 75% for weeks 9-26. There is no requirement to enroll in STD, this coverage is provided at no cost to you.
Core Long-Term Disability coverage will pay 50% of your benefits base pay after you have exhausted your Short-Term Disability benefits, up to a maximum of $15,000/per month. In addition, you can buy additional Long-Term Disability coverage, up to 60% of your base pay after you have exhausted your Short-Term Disability benefits, up to a maximum of $15,000/per month.
The Accident Protection Plan provides an extra layer of protection to cover your out-of-pocket medical expenses for covered injuries and accident-related expenses for you or your family. As of January 1, 2024, you can choose between two benefit options: the Low Plan with $15,000 in coverage or the High Plan with $30,000 in coverage. You will be able to use the funds as you wish.
