Vision

Benefits that cover routine eye exams, prescription eyeglasses, and contact lenses.

Regular eye exams are an important part of your overall health. Baker Hughes provides vision coverage through Vision Service Plan (VSP).

You choose from two options: the High Plan or the Low Plan. The High plan costs a little more, but you can get frames OR contacts every year (you cannot get both). Or, you can pay less and get frames OR contacts every other year (you cannot get both). To look at a chart of your vision coverage, click here.

You will not receive a Vision plan ID card. Let your eye doctor know your coverage is through VSP, then give the full name, date of birth and last 4 digits of the employee’s Social Security number to receive services from a network provider.

Review the Vision plan overview chart here.

In-network coverage

To find the VSP doctor closest to you or to check if a doctor is a VSP provider, contact VSP at 1-800-877-7195 or go online to vsp.com. If you choose a participating doctor, you only pay a $10 copayment for examinations and a $25 copayment for lenses (special frames or tinted lenses will cost more).

Out-of-network coverage

If you choose to use a nonparticipating doctor, VSP will reimburse you based on a limited fee schedule. When submitting a claim to VSP from a nonparticipating doctor, use the Baker Hughes out-of-network VSP claim form and file your claim within six months of the date of service. Claim forms are available at vsp.com
